Grant murder case chronicled in crime novel
DETROIT – The local murder case that seemed to unfold like a shocking crime novel will now become one.
The story of Tara Grant's murder and her husband, Stephen Grant's very public plea for help, his arrest and later conviction of second-degree murder will be chronicled in a paperback book for all of America to read.
Michigan authors Steve Miller and Andrea Billups have signed a contract to write the true crime paperback book detailing the case.
Miller and Billups said the book will explore the dark levels of Grant's crime.
Grant was found guilty of second-degree murder for killing and dismembering his wife Tara in their Washington Township home.
Publication of the book is expected at the end of 2008.
