Teen With Toy Gun Strikes Out With Robberies 17-Year-Old Charged With Armed Robbery In Connection With Oak Park Incidents
OAK PARK, Mich. – Oak Park police said a teen who tried to rob two different people Sunday night didn't get away with anything.
Police said 17-year-old Mario Finley walked into a Taco Bell on Greenfield Road with a duffel bag and implied he had a gun while demanding money from an employee. They said the employee refused to give him money and told him to leave.
Finely then tried to rob a female employee behind the restaurant as he was leaving, but the employee told him she didn't have any money on her, police said.
A police search was initiated for Finley in the area and, after a short foot chase, he was arrested.
Police said Finley's duffel bag had a toy gun inside it.
Finley is charged with two counts of armed robbery.
