TV Chef Guy Fieri Says 'Union' Restaurant Came Recommended By Kid Rock

CLARKSTON, Mich. – A Food Network favorite and Detroit rock musician were cooking and filming together in Clarkston on Thursday.

Guy Fieri and Kid Rock were spotted at the Union on Main Street. They are shooting for the network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," a show that touts to dig up the "greasy spoon" spots of America.

In an interview with Local 4, Fieri said he's been trying to make it to Michigan for a while.

"When we started this whole idea about coming to Detroit shoot, this started a couple years ago because we hadn't shot up in this area in a while, Kid and I started talking and I said, 'Tell me some of your favorite joints, man. Tell me what you dig,'" Fieri said."And this is one of his picks. So, we're going to bust out some food in a little bit."

The restaurant is closed for the taping, which is also closed to the public.
