MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – The owner of Sam's Sorrento Pizza in Mount Clemens has pledged to raise $15,000 by Veterans Day for the Veterans Support Center at a Campaign Commitment Kickoff held Tuesday. A portion of the sale of any large pizza will go to the campaign.
Al Marino, owner of Sam's Sorrento Pizza, presented a commitment check originally originally made out for $10,000 to Brian Bobek, Vietnam Veteran Chapter 154 president.While making the presentation, Marino announced he would add an additional $5,000, making the pledge $15,000.

"This is a great thing Sorrento's is doing and this will really help us in what we can do for Veterans in Macomb County," Bobek said.
Many vets, local officials and franchise owners came out to the event, which included a 21 gun salute, Taps and the raising of a POW flag.
The Veterans Support Center in Roseville offers services such as compensation, assistance with disability claims and counseling.
