Meijer Wants To Hire Hundreds For Holiday Season

DETROIT – Meijer said it plans to hire hundreds of workers to handle the holiday rush at 197 stores throughout its five-state region.

In a release, the Michigan-based chain said interested candidates should complete an online application at www.JoinMeijer.com or at the employment kiosks located at the front of most stores.

Meijer has stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.

Positions will be available in the following areas:

• Meat Department
• Bakery Department
• Deli Department
• Utility Clerks
• General Merchandise Department
• Cashier and Service Department
• Cake Decorators
• 3rd Shift Stocking
• Grocery Department

Meijer said most of the positions are part-time, but many opportunities could turn into full time.
