MOSS BEACH, California – An octopus surprised visitors to the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve recently when it rose from the water and onto dry land.

A person can be heard saying, "He might come out of the water, and it's okay."
The octopus slithered across land for about two-and-a-half minutes before returning to the water.
