SHELBY TWP., Mich. – A 20-year-old man is facing charges on accusations he locked employees of a fast-food restaurant in a freezer after robbing the place at gunpoint.
Steven Wayne Thompson is charged with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of unlawful imprisonment.
He's accused of robbing the McDonald's at 47475 Van Dyke in Shelby Township Thursday morning and locking employees in the walk-in freezer.
The employees were found hours later when a manager showed up.
His bond was set at $500,0000. His next court date is Feb. 13.
