Fraser police are investigating claims that a woman paid $7,800 to break a spell she found on her family - but the spell was never broken.
The woman told police she went to the Astrology Boutique at 16748 14 Mile Road in Fraser to meet with a psychic.

The 32-year old female owner of the business told the complainant she needed to give her $7,800 to break the spell. The complainant gave her $7,800.
The complainant later asked the owner for the money back, but she wouldn't return it.
During the police investigation, the owner of the business reportedly lied to officers about her name and address and said she didn't take any money.
While in the process of obtaining a warrant for the suspect for larceny by trick, the suspect's father contacted detectives and said the money was paid back.
The victim did not wish to pursue charges after receiving her money.
