Man sentenced for killing transgender teen
Caseem Raqib sentenced to 25-40 years in prison for death of 19-year-old Shelly Hilliard
Shelly HilliardDETROIT – A man charged with killing and dismembering a transgender teenager learned his fate Monday.
Caseem Raqib pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Shelly Hilliard, also known as Henry.
He was sentenced to 25 to 40 years in prison.
Hilliard's torso was found burned along Interstate 94 on Detroit's east side.
The body was identified by a tattoo.
Hilliard had worked as a drug informant for police.
