DETROIT – A Port Huron man who was charged Tuesday with stalking a child and freed on a tether was arrested Wednesday. 

Nicholas Hamilton, 39, was arrested at his home Wednesday morning after the tether company monitoring the registered sex offender said the device stopped working.

They tried to contact Hamilton by phone but were unsuccessful. They called police.

Hamilton is accused of harassing and threatening a 17-year-old girl.

His bond has been revoked due to his violation.

He will face a judge April 23 morning for a plea hearing.
