Man's body found in Detroit's Stoepel Park Neighbors tell Local 4 victim was often seen in the park
DETROIT – A man was found shot dead in the middle of Detroit park on Monday.
Police said someone walking through Stoepel Park found the man. He had been shot in the stomach and head.
Neighbors Local 4 spoke with said the man was known to frequent the park, picking up trash and mumbling to himself. They said he appeared to have a mental impairment and was in his mid-50s.
Police said they found shell casings, but no gun. They've labeled the investigation a homicide.
