Landlord of Detroit apartment building that has no electricity says he'll pay bill Tuesday
Residents of building on Ford Street say they've been living in dark for 2 weeks
DETROIT – The residents of a Detroit apartment building on Ford Street have a problem.
DTE Energy shut off the electricity to the building two weeks ago because the landlord, Paul Salerno, owes thousands of dollars in unpaid bills.
DTE also said the building had been caught with illegal hookups.
On Monday, Local 4 tracked down Salerno, who didn't want to go on camera for an interview.
But he told Local 4 he was going to pay the bill on Tuesday.
