DETROIT – Fiat says it will be the first to offer an in-car coffee maker. The automaker says an espresso machine option will be available this fall in 500L models that go on sale in Italy. The machine comes with matching cups and is being produced for Fiat by Italian coffee importer Lavazza. Drivers/coffee drinkers fill a base with water, which is hooked up to its own power source, and wait for the water to boil and seep through a coffee pad. The Fiat 500L model is due to be launched in the U.S. in 2013. Do you think the coffee-machine option should be available in the U.S.? Is it a good idea?
