LANSING, Mich. – The State of Michigan's Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) will be closed on Monday to observe the Memorial Day holiday. However, unemployed Michigan workers will still be able to contact the Michigan Automated Response Voice Interactive Network (MARVIN) to claim eligibility for employment benefits on that day.
Unemployed workers who are claiming benefits in the state of Michigan must contact MARVIN by phone or online once every two weeks to confirm that they are still unemployed in order to continue collecting their benefits.
