Power outage hits Grosse Pointe Woods

DTE: Most of 1400 customers without power have service restored

GROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich. – Parts of Grosse Pointe Woods experienced a power outage from Moross to Allard, on the west side of Mack Avenue.

The Grosse Pointe Woods Department of Public Safety issued an alert to residents at 11:35 a.m. Sunday.

Detroit Edison says the power outage was caused by a fire to an electrical pole. It effected 1,400 customers in the area.

DTE says power has been restored to most of the residents and others will see power restored shortly.
