Crooks target cars in Farmington Hills

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Farmington Hills police have issued a warning to the community after a rash of car break-ins at Founders Park and the Farmington Ice Arena.

Police said five cars, all of which were locked, were broken into Monday evening in the lots surrounding the park and arena.

Several of the cars had their windows smashed out and valuables that were left in plain sight were taken.

Police are warning residents and visitors to remove any valuables from cars that are going to be left unattended, park in well-lit areas and remember to lock doors.

Anyone who finds their car broken into is asked to not touch anything and call Farmington Hills Police at 248-871-2610.
