Port Huron man finds remains Thursday in Beard Hills State Game area

CLYDE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A man looking for fresh water clams found something he wasn't looking for Thursday afternoon.
St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon said Port Huron resident Frank Kozlowski was wading in Mill Creek in the Beard Hills State Game area when he reached under a log that was in the water and felt something unusual.

When he retrieved the item from the water, he discovered it was a human skull.
He placed the skull on shore and immediately called the Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office Dive Team was also called and they found other bones in the water that is 3-4 feet deep.
The skull and bones were turned over Medical Examiner Dr. Daniel Spitz for examination.
