Crews work to contain large fire in downtown Yale Fire started Tuesday morning at sign company on South Main Street
YALE, Mich. – Crews in downtown Yale are working to keep a large fire from spreading down S. Main Street.
The fire started Tuesday morning at a sign company, Serious Graphics and Signs.
Residents of the community about 55 miles northeast of Detroit are asked not to use water unless it's an emergency. Tanker trucks are being used to supply firefighters. Crews responded from departments in St. Clair and Sanilac counties.
Witnesses said smoke could be seen for miles.
