On April 7, at about 7:30 a.m., a 12-year-old girl was walking to Durfee School when she was approached on LaSalle and Calvert by a man, identified as James, driving a truck. It is alleged that he drove up to the girl and exposed his genitals to her. The girl ran to school and immediately reported the incident to security. He has been charged with aggravated indecent exposure, a two-year misdemeanor.
On April 10, at about 7:10 a.m., a 12-year-old girl was walking to Durfee School when she was approached at LaSalle and Calvert Streets by James in a truck. It is alleged that James pulled up to the girl and exposed himself to her. The girl immediately reported the incident and indicated that she recognized the defendant as the same person who exposed himself to her on April 7.
On the same day, about an hour later, another 12-year-old girl was walking to Noble School when she was approached by a man in a truck at Fullerton and Indiana Streets. It is alleged that James exposed himself to her. The girl tried to get the license plate number and ran to school and immediately reported the incident. For both April 10 incidents, James has been charged with one count of accosting children for immoral purposes, a four-year felony and two counts of aggravated indecent exposure, a two-year misdemeanor.
On May 28, at about 8:15 a.m., a 14-year-old girl was walking to Burns School when she was approached near Lyndon and Sussex Streets by the defendant who was driving a truck. It is alleged that he drove up to the girl and exposed himself to her and asked her to get in his truck. The girl ran to her school and immediately reported the incident. He has been charged with accosting children for immoral purposes, a four-year felony and two counts of aggravated indecent exposure, a two-year misdemeanor.
