Police: Drunk driver killed Clinton Township man

MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police believe that alcohol was a factor in a two-car crash that killed a 24-year-old Clinton Township man Sunday morning.

A 2013 black Dodge Charger was heading eastbound on 21 Mile Road at around 1:45 a.m. when police say it crossed the center line and hit a silver Hyundai head-on just west of Heydenreich Road in Macomb Township.

The driver of the Hyundai, Oliver Mitevski, was pronounced dead at the scene. The at-fault driver of the Charger, a 21-year-old man from Macomb Township, was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

Police believe that alcohol was a factor at the time of the accident. The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 586-307-9412.
