Oakland County Sheriff's detectives work to identify man in surveillance images
PONTIAC, Mich. – Oakland County Sheriff's detectives are asking for help identifying an armed man who robbed Magic Cleaners on Monday in Pontiac.
The man first entered the cleaners unarmed about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday and made a business transaction. He left and returned a short time later armed with a shotgun. He demanded employees open the cash register and told them to get on the floor.
The robber grabbed the drawer from the cash register and fled the store. Witnesses said they saw him fleeing eastbound on Huron Street in a dark colored vehicle.
The robber is described as a black man about 30 years old, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black knit hat and black clothing.
Magic Cleaners is located in the 700 block of West Huron.
Anyone with information on this robbery or the man shown in surveillance images is asked to contact the Oakland County Sheriff's Office at 248-858-4911. A reward is being offered to anyone who can identify the man. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
