DETROIT – We've all tried skipping rocks over a pond or lake. It never skips more than a few times. That is unless you're Maxwell Steiner.
The Grosse Pointe Woods native was just awarded by the Guinness Book of World Records for the most skips of a stone on water, setting the new record at 65 skips.

Steiner will be presented with the certificate on November 26. This past summer Max was part of a documentary on stone skipping entitled, "Skips Stones for Fudge", which will be released in film festivals and on television in 2015. Max is a student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
