FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – A fire Thursday afternoon at a concrete plant in Farmington Hills injured five workers and two firefighters.
Contract workers were performing repairs at Piedmont Concrete Inc. when the fire broke out. Five of them were injured. Two of them are in serious condition.

Two Farmington Hills firefighters were injured when responding. Their injuries were not serious and they are expected to be OK.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Piedmont Concrete Inc. is on 8 Mile Road just west of Middlebelt Road.
