Grosse Pointe Woods police seek bank robber
Police: Robber fled after taking cash at Charter One Bank
No description foundGROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich. – Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who robbed a bank in Grosse Pointe Woods.
The robbery happened at 5:34 p.m. Friday at the Charter One Bank at 19307 Mack Ave., police said.
The man entered the bank and passed a note to a teller, demanding money. Police said the teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money.
No weapon was seen or implied, police said. The man then left and entered a white, older-model Monte Carlo last seen heading south on Mack Avenue.
The man was described by Grosse Pointe Woods police as a black heavy-set man who weighs about 250 pounds. He wore glasses and a skullcap.
Anyone who has seen the man or can help identify him is asked to call Grosse Pointe Woods police.
