MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – Three years after a corrections officer was killed in Madison Heights, the reward for information that leads to the person responsible has increased.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $7,500 in the death of Clarence Tariq Hammond III.

Hammond was shot in January three years ago as he was arriving home in Madison Heights. He was 33 years old.

Hammond worked as a corrections officer for the State of Michigan for six years.

He was the father of two sons.
