Westbound I-96 reopened at Kent Lake Road

MILFORD, Mich. – Westbound Interstate 96 is open again at Kent Lake Road after it was shutdown Wednesday afternoon so plows could clear snow and ice from the interstate.

Ice melted throughout the day Wednesday and was beginning to freeze again in time for rush hour. Crews worked to remove the slushy water and salt the roadway.

Traffic was being routed off at Kent Lake Road then back onto the interstate via the Kent Lake Road westbound onramp.

Traffic is traveling freely in the westbound lanes again.
