14-year-old girl shot on Detroit's east side

DETROIT – A 14-year-old girl is in serious condition after a shooting on Detroit's east side Thursday evening, according to police.

M. Armour, 14, was shot in the back after an argument that ensued between two groups of men.

The shooting occurred on Neff Avenue between Munich and E. Warren avenues.

Police said Armour went to a nearby liquor store and met some guys who followed her home. An argument broke out between men at the home and the men from the store when shots were fired.

Armour was taken to the hospital.

Police said there is a lot of gang activity in the area.
