Plymouth Township family murder plot: Defendants will get separate trials

DETROIT – A 15-year-old Plymouth Township girl and her adult boyfriend will have separate trials for allegedly plotting to kill the teen's family.

Roksana Sikorski and her 23-year-old boyfriend, Michael Rivera, are both are charged as adults. They face several charges, including assault with intent to murder and conspiracy to commit premeditated murder.
Rivera's trial is set to being July 20. Sikorski's is set for Oct. 26.
Prosecutors say Sikorski used a knife to cut her 12-year-old brother's neck and tried to stab her younger sister last year in their Plymouth Township home. According to Sikorski and the prosecution, Rivera was outside the house sending text messages to instruct how to fatally stab the family members.
