REDFORD, Mich. – A 30-year-old man is facing his second drunken driving charge after Milford police said he blew a preliminary breath test that was more than four times the legal limit.

Christopher McLaughlin crashed his car last Tuesday into the pillars of a kerosene pump at a Speedway gas station, police said.

When questioned, McLaughlin told officers he had drank eight or nine beers and was trying to get home.

His preliminary breath test was .347 percent, police said.

The legal limit for driving in Michigan is .08 percent.
