Mom confronts man taking up-skirt photos of teen daughter at Walmart in Sterling Heights

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Anna Rubley spotted 58-year-old Robert Sikorski recording video with his smart phone up her 13-year-old daughter's skirt.

It happened at a Walmart on Mound and M59 in Sterling Heights in June.

"He goes, 'Oh I am out of here.' I go, 'You are not going anywhere,' and I grabbed his wrist," she said.

This mother of five was shopping with her three younger children when she saw the man kneel down with his phone right next to her daughter.

"I jumped right in front of him at that point and I asked him, 'Were you videotaping my daughter?' He goes, 'No. I would never do that.' I go, 'Give me your phone.' And I grabbed the phone"

She said Sikorski tried to get away. But this mother and her youngest child, little Christopher, took action along with two other shoppers.

"He pushed the cart into him. 'You mess with my sister. You mess with me.' I stood right in front of him," said Rubley.

Police arrived and Sikorski was arrested. He is charged with capturing and distributing images of an unclothed person.

Although the father doesn't have a prior record, investigators believe he could have done it before. Rubley says there's no doubt in her mind that he has.

"It floors me he had the nerve to do that and violate my daughter and my trust with just being out with my children in public, and it wasn't only for us. It was for all daughters, all children, because I know it's not that man's first time," she said.
