HARPER WOODS, Mich. – Police are trying to track down two people who are suspected of stealing more than $2,000 worth of hats from the Lids store inside Eastland Mall in Harper Woods.
Police say a man and a woman are shown on surveillance inside the store. The man stole 77 hats valued at $2,463.63 and fled the store on foot with the woman. The man dropped several hats while he was running from the store.

He and the woman entered a Chrysler minivan which was waiting for them in the parking lot. A third person was driving.
The store recovered 56 hats which were dropped in the mall, police said. The store ended up losing $670 worth of hats.
Police do not have more detailed descriptions of the man and woman. The minivan is described as a silver 2000 Chrysler Town and Country.
