Vacant building erupts into flames on Detroit's east side

DETROIT – A vacant building erupted into flames Sunday afternoon on Detroit’s east side.

The fire happened at what used to be Timbo’s Hall, a former after-hours establishment, at Gratiot Avenue and Sterritt Street.

Two fire departments were called to battle the flames.
