Spring-like week ahead with highs in the 50s today

It’s going to be a very Spring-Like week ahead with warmer and wetter weather moving in.

Today is mild in the mid 30s as you head out, but highs will head into the mid 50s through the afternoon.

A batch of light rain southwest of Metro Detroit will spread a few rain showers into the area after lunch into the mid afternoon with winds SSW 6-13 mph. We may see a few isolated thundershowers later this evening.

Tomorrow looks dry with partly sunny skies and temps warming into the 60s. If we get a few hours of sun through the afternoon, highs could be flirting with 70 degrees around Metro Detroit Tuesday. Winds pick up a bit SW 7-17 mph gusting over 20 mph.

More rain moves in Wednesday with highs in the 60s again. This is another day where temps could take aim at 70 degrees, but the afternoon rain will keep us from hitting that mark. Thursday looks wet with rain and thundershowers as highs stay in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Friday may start wet, but should dry out and cool off a bit to end the work and school week. Low 50s Friday with more showers as we head through Saturday and Sunday. But again, it should be mild to warm this weekend in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Before you head out, get the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps free in your app store under WDIV.
