1 person shot on Cloverdale Avenue in Royal Oak Township

Victim has non-life-threatening injuries, police say

ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A shooting Monday morning in Royal Oak Township appears to have been the result of a beef between two groups of people, Michigan State Police said.

Lt. Mike Shaw said at least 15 shots were fired on Cloverdale Avenue near Glen Lodge Road.

“It appears that almost everybody had a gun,” Shaw said. “This is a settlement, I guess is the best way to put it, between these two parties.”

Shaw said the victim had non-life-threatening injuries.

Shaw said police are still looking for the shooter, but have a good idea of who it is.
