HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities say one boater has died and another was rescued after a boat capsized in Anchor Bay.

The Macomb County sheriff's department said a witness found the 15-foot aluminum fishing boat Wednesday night. A 39-year-old Macomb Township man who was clinging to the side of the boat was rescued by the boater and was taken to the hospital with hypothermia.

Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said a dive team later found the body of 60-year-old Brad Kirby Thacker of Warren.

The boat was near a Michigan Department of Natural Resources boat launch near Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township.
