MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – Five teens are in custody for allegedly stealing guns and cellphones from the Gibraltar Trade Center in Mount Clemens, and could be connected to more robberies in the area, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said.

The teens, four 16-year-olds and a 14-year-old, were arrested Tuesday after investigators searched a home on Clara Street and recovered seven guns, ammunition, 23 cellphones and jewelry, which are all believed to be stolen, the Sheriff's Office said.

Two different vendors in the trade center, the Gun Depot and The Cell Phone Shop, reported being robbed earlier in the day. After reviewing surveillance video, investigators identified two of the teens and executed a search warrant at the home, where one of the teens lives.

All of the teens were in the home when investigators searched the home, the Sheriff's Office said.

In addition to the five arrests, an 18-year-old Detroit man who was also in the home was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

Investigators are also still looking for another 16-year-old in connection with the robberies, the Sheriff's Office said.

The teens were taken to the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center. All are expected to face formal charges on Wednesday.
