The wife of Edsel Ford II released a statement late Tuesday night regarding the allegations of domestic violence against her husband.

I wish to make a statement on behalf of my husband and me. I would like to clarify this situation: contrary to reports, this is not a case of domestic violence. I stand behind true victims of domestic violence and I am not one of them. My husband and I ask that you respect our privacy and that of our family. We are working in the right direction to heal from this experience and move forward.”
The great-grandson of Henry Ford was arrested Monday night after his wife called 911 to report a domestic dispute between her and her husband.
Ford was later released from police custody at about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The Grosse Pointe Farms city prosecutor said they were not going to press charges against Ford.
