Firefighters investigating possible carbon monoxide leak at Hawthorn Suites in Warren

2 people, dog found unconscious

WARREN, Mich. – Firefighters are investigating a possible carbon monoxide leak Monday afternoon at the Hawthorn Suites in Warren.

Police and firefighters responded to the hotel on North Civic Center Drive.

Two people and a dog were discovered unconscious in a room, according to Warren police. They were taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital and they are alert.

The hotel manager said they guests turned the heat on in their room which caused the leak.

The dog was taken by animal control and is expected to be OK.
