Man shot, killed in front of children in Wixom

WIXOM, Mich. – A 21-year-old man is dead and a woman is in custody Friday afternoon after a shooting that occurred in front of two children in Wixom.

The shooting occurred in an apartment at the Meadowood Park Apartments.

Police say the woman shot and killed the man. She called authorities and stayed at the scene. The woman was taken into custody.

The children are OK and are with police.

Police say the man has been identified as Gabriel Dumas, a resident of Detroit.
