Buck photobombs kayaker at Stony Creek Metro Park

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A local photographer captured these striking images Saturday while photographing a kayaker at Stony Creek Metro Park in Shelby Township.

The photos were taken by Joan Zeller Bonin, who was focusing on the kayaker when the large buck appeared and darted behind the kayaker.

When asked about the surprise guest in her shot, Bonin replied "Honestly, I thought the buck was going to deck him! They do some pretty strange things this time of year."

And the kayaker? He didn't even know the buck was behind him until he was shown the photographs.
