Election 2016: When do polls close in Michigan? Polls open at 7 a.m. in Michigan
Election Day in America is Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016.
Polls in Michigan are open 7 AM–8 PM. You’re allowed to vote if you’re in line by 8 PM.
How to vote:
Be sure to bring one of the following forms of ID in order to vote:
State ID card
Michigan driver’s license
Another generally recognized picture ID card
If you don't have a picture ID card, you may sign a sworn statement to that effect
Additionally, if you are a first time Michigan voter and registered to vote by mail, you may be required to show your Michigan ID, utility bill, or government document that shows your name and current address.
