The Livonia City Council will meet Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at City Hall Auditorium, 33000 Civic Center Drive. It’s the 1,814th regular meeting of the Livonia City Council.

NEW POLICE CAR: Purchase of a new marked police vehicle to replace a vehicle damaged beyond repair in August 2016.

 

BIKE LANES: Request for design engineering services for the Hubbard Road Bike Lanes Project from Buchanan Elementary to Six Mile Road, from budgeted funds.

 

LED LIGHTS: Request to accept a grant from DTE to retrofit 1,329 mercury vapor street lights to LED on major roads. Total cost is estimated at $577,134 with the city paying $396,171.48 after an EO rebate of $109,786.52, from budgeted funds.

 

GAS STATION: Site plan petition to demolish and rebuild a Mobil gas station on the northwest corner of Schoolcraft and Farmington roads.

 

PANERA BREAD: The Committee of the Whole will report out on plans to build a freestanding Panera Bread within the parking lot of the Laurel Park Place shopping center located on the north side of Six Mile Road between Newburgh Road and the I-275/I-96 Expressway (37700 Six Mile Road).

 

DOG PARK: Request to establish a dog park at Bicentennial Park, specifically soccer fields 9 &10 along Seven Mile Road. This is a joint effort with Tailwaggers.
