Teen throws cat off balcony, posts video to social media Tikeemah Lassiter, 19, arrested for animal cruelty
NEWARK, N.J. – A teenage girl was arrested on animal cruelty charges for allegedly throwing a cat off a third-story balcony and sharing it on social media.

A person be heard laughing in the background as the cat is thrown over the railing.
Someone who saw the video alerted police who arrested Lassiter Saturday.
Incredibly, the cat survived and was turned over to the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The cat immediately received veterinary care.
