Adopted son of former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky arrested on child sex abuse charges

The adopted son of former Penn State Nittany Lions football coach Jerry Sandusky has been arrested on child sex abuse charges, the Associated Press announced Monday.

Sandusky, who was a coach on Penn State's staff from 1969-1999, was charged and convicted of multiple counts of sexual abuse against children. He was convicted of using his charity, The Second Mile, to get close to his victims.

In November 2011, Sandusky was indicted on 52 counts of child molestation.

Sandusky's adopted son, Jeffrey Sandusky, 41, has been charged with sexually assaulting a child.
