Warren police officer shoots himself in leg during training at gun range, sources say

WARREN, Mich. – A Warren police officer accidentally shot himself Monday morning during training at a gun range, sources say.

The officer was shot in the leg and suffered a serious injury. He is in stable condition.

The officer has been with the Warren Police Department for more than 20 years.

UPDATE: Detective has been a part of the department for 20+ years and the shooting was accidental. He's in stable condition. More at noon
