35th annual St.Patrick Corktown Race in downtown Detroit

DETROIT – The 35th annual St. Patrick Corktown Races took place in downtown Detroit Sunday morning. The races started at 10 a.m. in front of Michigan Central Station on Michigan Avenue and Vernor.

The Corktown Races have become one of the largest 5km races in Michigan. The event has seen steady growth to over 8,000 participants. Participants dress in their best St. Patrick's day attire for the race.
