Lush Fresh Homemade Cosmetics is relaunching its New Shampoo Bar in support of ending animal testing.
Lush, a cruelty-free beauty company, is bringing back the soap with the message #BeCrueltyFree on the bar in English and simplified Chinese. According to the Humane Society of the United States, the languages are the most commonly used languages on social media.

The shampoo bar message is meant to encourage people to support the Humane Society, the Humane Society Legislative Fund and the Humane Society International’s campaign to ban cosmetic animal testing and trade.
Thirty-eight countries and regions have passed bans against animal testing or the sale of cosmetics tested on animals.
“#BeCrueltyFree USA is excited to collaborate with Lush on our efforts to end cosmetics cruelty around the world once and for all,” said Vicki Katrinak of #BeCrueltyFree USA. “More than 1.8 billion consumers now live in cruelty-free cosmetics markets, and it is time for the U.S. to join this global movement away from animal testing.”
The New Shampoo Bar includes cinnamon leaf, peppermint, bay and clove bud essential oils that stimulate the scalp, according to Lush.
