STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Sterling Heights police are searching for a man accused of taking a wallet that was left on a counter at Home Depot.

Police said a man left his wallet on the counter at the return rental desk of the Home Depot in the 37000 block of Van Dyke. When he went to retrieve the wallet, it was missing.

Detectives checked surveillance video of the return rental desk and said they saw a man stealing the wallet from where the victim left it.

Larceny Video

Do you recognize this man? SHPD took a report of a larceny that had occurred at Home Depot (37000 Van Dyke). The victim alleged that he left his wallet on the counter at the Return Rental desk and his wallet went missing. Detective Whiting investigated the case and obtained video of where the wallet was left. The video shows that the victim did leave his wallet on the counter and a suspect steals the wallet.
