WATCH LIVE: 2017 Total Solar Eclipse crosses US

DETROIT – The total solar eclipse will begin at 1:18 p.m. ET on the United States' west coast. 

The partial eclipse will begin about 12:05 p.m. ET on the west, and totality will begin just more than an hour later at 1:18 p.m. 

The eclipse will move eastward to South Carolina when it will hit the east coast about 2:48 p.m. ET.
