The 16th anniversary ceremony will remember and honor the 2,983 men, women and children killed in the attacks at the World Trade Center site, the Pentagon, aboard Flight 93, and those who died in the February 26, 1993 WTC bombing.

The commemoration will take place on the 9/11 Memorial plaza at the World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan.

President Trump will participate in the observance ceremony at the Pentagon and Vice President Pence will be in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Here's the schedule: 

  • 8:45 a.m. -- President Trump and First Lady lead a moment of silence in remembrance of those lost on September 11, 2001 South Lawn.
  • 9:35 a.m. -- President Trump and First Lady participate in a 9/11 observance at the Pentagon. National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial.
  • 10:35 a.m. -- Vice President Pence, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, and others speak at the annual September 11th Observance at the Flight 93 National Memorial
  • 11:10 a.m. -- Tour of the Flight 93 Visitors Center
  • 12 p.m. -- Wreath Laying Ceremony and Moment of Silence with Family of the fallen
